Vehicle Administrative Services’ (VAS) president and CEO Bill Breindel serves as sole motor club executive on the F&I Providers Relief Fund for F&I Managers (F&IPRF) board.
F&IPRF was established in April to provide support to F&I managers who are experiencing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, F&IPRF, alongside its board members and partners, has raised over $532,000 of its $1 million fundraising goal.
F&IPRF’s board consists of five members and two alternatives from top F&I organizations across the country. Vehicle Administrative Services is the only motor club represented in the group, which has provided over $456,000 in grants so far.
As a member of the board, Breindel has worked to raise funds through his network, identify and distribute grants to qualified applicants, and provide feedback and resources on ways VAS can help F&IPRF reach its $1 million fundraising goal.
Additionally, as the only motor club executive on F&IPRF’s board, Breindel’s extensive connections in the wholesale roadside assistance industry provide F&IPRF with access to unique relationships with leading VSC providers, automobile manufacturers, insurance carriers, and more. Unfortunately, no other motor clubs chose to support the relief fund, even though they benefit from dealership business.
Despite that disappointment, the administrators, many of which are competitors, that did come together to support dealers during this time are making a difference for many auto-industry professionals.
“Giving back to this industry is important to me for many reasons,” said Breindel. “I take pride in knowing that I am able to help make a positive impact in finance managers’ lives in a time of need—the very people who have helped to build our businesses.”
F&IPRF hopes that as more providers and other leading companies throughout the F&I industry join in the fundraising efforts, the relief fund will be able to help as many F&I managers, and their families, as possible.
F&I managers in need can visit Changing Lives Foundation’s website to review qualification criteria and apply for grants.
